June meeting

Our June meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 16th at the Vista, Van Patten Golf Club, Clifton Park, NY.  The meeting begins at 7pm.  This month’s topic is “Planning a Vacation on a Budget.”

Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009

Yesterday, President Obama signed into law the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.   The Act expands workers’ rights to sue for unequal pay by relaxing the statute of limitations.  You can read more about the Act here.

Women of the Year

We would like to invite you to our Women of the Year event being held on April 21, 2009 at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center.  We will be posthumously honoring Geraldine Abrams as our Woman of the Year. The Woman of the Year is presented to a woman in appreciation of her exceptional leadership and integrity and her distinguished achievements for the betterment of her community. All proceeds from the Woman of the Year event will go to the BPW Tech Valley scholarship fund, which awards scholarships to young women seeking higher education. Continue reading ‘Women of the Year’
